We are Jon & Taylor, the creators behind Rails, Tails, and Trails.  What originally started off as a fun and different way to share our full timing adventures, has grown into an amazing community around not only full time rv'ing, but also life as a railroad family as well.  Never did we expect things to turn out the way they have, but we sure are glad that it did.  What an amazing adventure these last 5 years has been.

After spending over 20 years combined in the first response industry, we decided to throw everything into the wind and signed up with the railroad.  Jon's job has taken us all over the country and has allowed us to experience new and amazing things.  While Jon is working on the trains as a conductor, Taylor is feeding her book addiction and keeping our 3 furbabies in line.

Although we don't have any kids of the two legged variety living with us any more(all grown up!), we still have 3 very spoiled furbabies that accompany us every where we go.  Meet Medic, Sister, and Littleman!  All three of them are rescues and are a never ending saga of laughter and happiness.

As with everything RV (especially full-timing), our adventure and living arrangements have evolved over the years.  We currently reside in our 2023 Grand Design Momentum 397TH-R affectionally called the MEG!  Our tow rig is a 2021 Chevy 3500 HD High Country called Great White.  Can you tell Taylor loves everything sharks!
